Barbara Mary (Muetterties) Connor

Barbara Mary Connor (nee Muetterties), 86, of Coatesville, passed away on the afternoon of Saturday March 14 at Freedom Village, Coatesville, PA.  The child of Earl and Muriel Muetterties, and wife of William Francis Connor, Jr. for 65 blessed years of marriage.

Barbara enjoyed knitting, quilting, stone cutting, making jewelry, and making dolls, doll clothing and teddy bears for her grandchildren.  She was a lifelong competitive bridge player.  She was the past president of the Tuscarora Lapidary Society.  She was a leader/instructor in Weight Watchers.

Barbara is survived by her children, William Connor, III (Susan), Martin Connor (Gwenyth), Suzanne (Connor) Frederick (Anthony, deceased), Nannette (Connor) Calnan (John), Adrienne (Connor) O’Connor (Jeffrey), and Marianne (Connor) Gonzaga (Bruce).  Barbara is survived by 16 grandchildren, Michael, David, Joel, Mark, Paul, Anthony, Jr., Angela, Steven, Thomas, Andrew, Patrick, Catherine, Lindsey, Bruce, Connor and Ian and 13 great-grandchildren Matthew, Bradley, Brooks, Graham, Anthony, Aubri, Nolan, Olivia, Olive, and Adeline, Nathan, Joy and Elliana.

Barbara is predeceased by her brother Earl Muetterties, along with her parents Earl and Muriel Muetterties.  She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Muetterties and Craig Muetterties and her bother Earl’s wife, Joanne.

Funeral services will be private.  A celebration of life for Barbara is planned to be held at Freedom Village, Coatesville, when the current restriction on group gatherings is lifted.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara’s honor can be made to St. Peter’s Church, Coatesville, PA, and Tuscarora Lapidary Society www.lapidary.org.
