Dean F. Morgantini, Jr.

October 4, 1956 ~ June 5, 2021 (age 64) 64 Years Old

Tribute

Dean F. Morgantini Jr. passed away June 5, 2021 after a seven year battle with Congestive Heart Failure.  He was comforted by his wife of 27 years, Sharon Carroll Morgantini, and his 22 year old son, Zachary Carroll Morgantini.  He was born in Holden, MA on October 4, 1956.  He was the son of Dean F. Morgantini Sr. and Donna Miles Morgantini.  He is survived by his beloved Portuguese Water Dog, Café Mocha Latte Morgantini, his wife Sharon, his son Zachary, his parents Dean and Donna, his brothers David and Matthew Morgantini, his sisters Lisa Morgantini and Leslie Robertshaw, and countless family members.

Dean loved many things including: the outdoors, cars & motorcycles, biking, hiking, surfing, swimming, fishing, mountain climbing, skiing, sailing, exploring, music, traveling, hunting, reading, cooking, eating, home improvement projects, games, and spending time with family and friends. He will forever be the life of the party and the spark in all of our hearts. Dean was a brilliant man, a voracious reader, and an ever seeker of knowledge. He will be remembered by many as an endearing and courageous man - always willing to try new things, and to help others.  A true wordsmith found his calling (and his wife) when he began work at Chilton Publishing Company in 1980, working his way up to Co-owner/President in 1997 when they purchased the company from The Walt Disney Corporation. In 2001 he and his partner purchased Seloc Publishing and ran it until it was sold in 2017. Dean was a talented businessman who always treated his employees and coworkers with respect. He loved everyone in his life and would always wish nothing but the best for anyone and everyone.

Dean’s last wish is for his beloved son, Zach, to recover from Chronic Lyme Disease, and be supported by friends, family, doctors, and advocacy groups in whatever way possible to help him beat this insidious disease and carry on his legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to lymedisease.org in memory of Dean. Donations can be made on their website:  LymeDisease.org - Advocating nationally for quality accessible healthcare for patients with Lyme disease or checks can be mailed and made payable to: LymeDisease.org, PO Box 716, San Ramon, CA 94583 and indicate Dean Morgantini donation.

Dean was a big, strong, loving man, who always had a unique opinion and method to the way things could be done. In his life, he never chose the orthodox or easy route, which is just another reason why he was so unique and loved by many.

To honor that legacy and his wishes, he will be cremated and there will be a celebration of life at a future date, which is to be determined.

As The Marshall Tucker Band, one of Dean’s favorite bands; said, “In my own way.” That is truly the only way to describe how Dean lived his life (as many people know and hopefully will remember!)
