M. Florence “Flo” Creamer, 93, of Downingtown, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Tel Hai Retirement Community. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Creamer, who passed away in 1977.
Born in Patton, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Augustus Marcellus Warner and Orlena Bridget Dunegan Warner.
Florence graduated from Patton High School and Altoona Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Early in her career, she worked as an Operating Room Nurse at Chester County Hospital and later as a school nurse with the Downingtown Area School District.
She very much enjoyed volunteer work and helping others. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 35 years, was a driver for the American Cancer Society and helped with the events for the Downingtown Lyons Club. Florence was named and recognized as the Downingtown Citizen of Year in February of 1992.
Florence was a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner at St. Joseph Church in Downingtown, where she was a member of the Ladies of St. Joseph Group.
Florence is survived by her children, Kathleen A. Conahan and her husband Ronald, LuAnn M. Radomile and her husband John and Lisa M. Creamer; two sisters, Jessie M. Mitchell and Mildred Wise; and by 7 grandchildren, Kathryn (Nicholas) Ponto, Kellie (Timothy) Haenn, Michael and Ryan Conahan, John, Matthew (Kelly) and Timothy Radomile. She was also survived by four great grandchildren, Chester, Faye, Grace and Landon.
In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was predeceased by her son, Joseph M. Creamer and by her brother, Patrick Warner.
The family would like to express their appreciation and gratitude to the staff at Tel Hai for their compassionate care for Florence during her years as a resident.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2020 at St. Joseph Church, 332 Manor Avenue, Downingtown. Family and friends will be received from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Livestreaming of the service is available by clicking the link at the top of the page.
Interment will be in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer
