Michael Elmer Viola Jr.

Michael E. Viola, 87, of Downingtown, PA passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Paoli Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, Michael was the son of the late Michael and Julia (Cerino) Viola. He was the beloved husband of the late Cecilia (Jordan) Viola.

He was a member of SS Philip & James Catholic Church, Exton. 

Mike graduated high school in 1952 from St. John the Baptist School in Manayunk.

He retired from Allied Chemical in 1987.

Mike loved the Casinos of Atlantic City, a glass of Carlo Rossi Sangria, bingo, reading and fishing. He took tremendous pride in taking care of his home and gardens.

Mike was a passionate Philadelphia sports fan, his favorite being the Phillies.

He is survived by his siblings, Vincent, Philomena and Angelina. As well as many loving nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial that will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at SS Philip & James Catholic Church, in Exton, PA at 11 AM.  A visitation will be held from 9:45a -10:45a at the church. Interment will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.

Due to COVID 19, all attendees will be required to wear a mask, observe social distancing, and restrain from physical contact.
