Shannon Leigh Walsh

Shannon Leigh Walsh, 53, of Downingtown, passed away the morning of Saturday, November 21, 2020. The daughter of Donald Louis Doyle and Patricia Puckett, Shannon was the loving wife of Mark Bofinger for 6 years of marriage.

After graduation from Widener University Shannon spent 10 years with the the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia. Through her contacts in catering she was then offered a position with ECFMG in Philadelphia where she spent 16 years as an executive assistant to the director. Shannon developed many friendships, both on the executive level and below which continue to this day.

Shannon loved to laugh, loved to cook and ultimately just enjoyed working and then relaxing at home with her husband Mark. They enjoyed a few vacations, weekends at the beach and of course reruns of Law and Order and Chicago PD. She found that just relaxing at home on weekends was even better with cheesy eggs and scrapple for breakfast.

Shannon was extremely proud of her daughter Alyssa and her step daughter Rhyan who both studied and then became nurses here in Pennsylvania and in Charlotte and her daughter Becky who is living out her dreams in the cosmetology field.

Shannon is survived by her daughters Alyssa (Adam) and Becky, step daughter; Rhyan, sisters Debbie (Steve) and Kristi (Gary). She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia and her father Donald.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Shannon’s name can be made to the Semper Fi Fund or the Chester Children’s Chorus.
